The Great Barrier Reef from the Air

The Great Barrier Reef from the Air

In order to see the Great Barrier Reef from the Air we took the Wavepiercer cruise ship "Quicksilver" on a 90 minute trip to the Agincourt reef which is very close to Australia´s continental shelf where we moored over one of the most beautiful sections of the Great Barrier Reef. As we looked from the cruise ship from sea level we could not get a real view of the reef. We decided that the only was to get a good view is from the air so we rented a helicopter ride over the reef and then later snorkeled in and amongst the beautiful reefs. We also took a mini sub on a gentle ride around the reef.
